Woods Wine offers the following Backyard Vineyard Services:
Introductory Consultation at the Woods Wine backyard vineyard and home winery in Perinton, NY. Begin with a tour of the vineyard. Move on to the small barn to see the implements and tools used to maintain the vineyard. Next stop is the crush-pad (garage) where the hydraulic bladder press and motorized crusher/destemmer are. Then on to the cellar to see the winery and the equipment used there. After the tour, there will be plenty of time to answer your questions
Specific Consultation at the Woods Wine backyard vineyard and home winery in Perinton, NY. Topics can include areas that you may be having difficulty with, such as Pruning, Vine Training, or Winery Lab Analysis.
On-Site Consultation at your future backyard vineyard location. Any or all of the following backyard vineyard topics can be covered: Site Selection, Soil Analysis, Vine and Post Layout, Row Orientation, Trellis Design, and many others.
On-Site Installation Instruction at your backyard vineyard location. I do not perform the actual installation of posts. Once your posts are in, I will demonstrate how the trellis wire is to be installed, and train you or your helpers on how to do it. I will also demonstrate how the vines should be planted, and how grow tubes and vine stakes should be installed. If you have the holes pre-dug, I will work along side of you and your helpers to plant your vines.
